During a meeting on September 14 international trade minister, Liam Fox, asked Norway’s trade and industry minster, Monica Mæland, to form a bilateral trade working group to ready for trade post Brexit.

The business daily Dagens Næringsliv said he request was passed to the Norwegian foreign affairs ministry, which is coordinating Norway’s Brexit response.

A statement from the Norwegian embassy said: “The two ministers agreed to initiate a dialogue as a contribution to minimise any potential future disruption to the bilateral trade relationship and to reduce uncertainty in the business community.
