MORE voters still believe Britain was right to quit the EU and are confident the country will be better off once Brexit is completed, a new poll has revealed.

In a YouGov survey, 45 per cent are convinced leaving the EU is best for Britain compared to 44 per cent who disagree.

There is also optimism about Britain’s economic performance away from the Brussels-based bloc, with 42 per cent believing the UK will be richer in the long-term than it would have been remaining inside the EU.

Only 28 per cent said the British economy would fare worse over the next 10 to 20 years after Brexit than it would remaining tied to Brussels.
